1. The first website went live on August 6 , 1991 created by Tim Berners-Lee.

2. symbolics.com is the world's first and oldest registered .com #domain name on the internet and is still active today.

4. Jean Armour Polly was the person to coin the term ‘surfing the Internet’. He came up with the term in 1992.

5. World Wide Web was finalized as the name of the project, after it was preferred over Information Mesh, Mine of Information and Information Mine.
